Ring Sizing Help Page
Our rings include one free resizing. In-stock rings are made in size 7 and can be adjusted up or down by 2 sizes such that in-stock rings can accommodate sizes 5-9, however there may be exceptions for some designs such as eternity bands. Size adjustments to in-stock rings make them a custom piece and they can not be returned. See more details about our return policy here.
Sizes for in-stock rings that fall outside of the 5-9 range are no problem! We can make them through our made-to-order process at no additional cost. (Additional cost may be incurred if additional changes to the design are made.)
For resizing, it is important that you provide the correct size. If an additional adjustment is necessary after the first included one, there will be a $75 charge and shipping both ways will be paid by the customer. Please see the recommendations below for measuring your ring size.
We have plastic ring sizers available here for purchase. If you buy this from us and place an order for a ring, we will credit back the cost of the sizer on your ring order.
Tips for Measuring Your Ring Size
Factors to Consider:
- Finger Size Changes: Your fingers can swell or shrink due to temperature, weather, and activity levels. A ring sized in winter may feel tight in summer and vice versa.
- Ring Width Matters: Wider bands (5mm or more) will fit more snugly than narrow bands of the same size. Get a slightly larger size for wider rings.
Measuring Your Finger:
- Avoid Paper or String Methods: These methods are often inaccurate because fingers are oval, and these materials don’t replicate the rigid circular shape of a ring. Variations in printer settings can also affect the accuracy of printed charts.
- Ask for a Rigid Plastic Sizer: Some jewelers or online stores offer reusable rigid plastic ring sizers that provide more accurate results. If you purchase one, ensure it includes clear instructions for use. You can get one from us here.
Helpful Sizing Tips:
- Warm Hands First: Avoid measuring your finger when your hands are cold; cold fingers are smaller, leading to inaccurate sizing.
- Tighter Fit in Summer: If sizing in summer, choose a snug fit so the ring won’t feel too loose in winter.
- Adjust for Wide Bands: Add half a size for wider bands to ensure comfort.
- Recheck Sizing Periodically: If it has been over a year since your last sizing, remeasure before purchasing a ring.
What to Do if the Ring Doesn’t Fit:
- Don’t Panic: Finger sizes fluctuate naturally, so wear the ring for a few weeks to see if the fit improves.
- Consistently Tight or Loose: If the fit is consistently uncomfortable, contact us or a local jeweler about resizing.
